nvidia and f12001 mods

When I update my driver for my geforce 2 ultra my mods quit working!
The f1 2001 game itself works but the gt mod and the f1 2002 mod both
default back to the f1 2001 game itself.

Anyone else have this problem and if so are there any work arounds to get
the mods up and working without reinstalling everything?

Thanks much      MILO

I found this happened to me.  The problem is that F1 2001 wants to update
config.ini with the new graphics settings.  Because you are using a
different ini file it doesn't get updated properly.

The workround is to run F1 2001 using the standard setup and configure your
graphics card when prompted.  Next, exit the sim and edit config.ini.   Copy
the following section from the file:

CPURATING=4
SYSTEMRAM=512
VIDEORAM=117
OBJDETAIL=3
TEXDETAIL=3
VIDEOGUID=D7B71E3E-4212-11CF-5879-572C06C2C935
GAME_DATABASE=GAME.GDB
VIDEODRIVER=0
VIDEOMODE=5
WINDOWEDMODE=0
PRIMARYONLY=0
FSAA=0
VSYNC=0

and paste it into the ini file for the mod, for example CONFIGFIAGTV2.INI.

Cheers
