Depends if you like it or not. A good 14-inch is better than a dreadful
17-inch, but most people who move up don't look back. I have a 15-inch,
which is fine, but if I could afford a 17-inch (it's either that or GP3
and CMR2 - eventually - and there's no contest), I'd buy one.

Does a one legged duck swim in a circle? :-)

I just picked up a Viewsonic PF790 19" monitor for just under $575 including
taxes and a 3 year extended warranty. While that may sound like a lot of
cash, consider this...

The 17" MAG / Innovision which it replaced (and I still have attached to my
old pc) is 5 years old and still going strong. Basically a monitor should be
considered a long term investment, and since it will be your primary
connection between yourself and your PC for the next several years (at
least) I wouldn't skimp on size or quality, even if you can find a large 19"
or 21" for $200, you'll get what you paid for!

Right!  I got a 300 buck 19" unit at Best Buy in Fort Wayne, IN 15
months ago, and it is doing great!  And did it ever help me in GPL!!  I
still stink at each and every track in GPL, but I can see where I'm
going so much BETTER while I stink!   Glen Priest

i got a 21" KDS at Office Depot for $699.  Not the greatest picture but is
definitely worth it for that size.
