Is it possible to run GPL under Windows XP?
When I installed it under XP, it turned to my desktop again, as soon as I
started the game.

I have the same install from when I originally got it, so I didn't install
it under Windows XP, but it runs, better. I can use opengl now. (Geforce3).

Had the same problem but after installing this patch :
http://www.papy.com/downloads/gpl12_us.exe and this Direct3D patch :
http://www.papy.com/downloads/gpl_d3d.exe i had no problem to get it
running.

Adrie,

Get the UK version of the v1.2 patch to match the UK version of the game
which was sold here (Holland/Belgium), not the US version!!

If you are using NTFS turn on indexing service for your GPL folder
(right-click/properties/advanced) for some strange reason GPL won't run
without it, other than that an up to date version of GPL will run fine under
XP.

Ah, thx for that. I just went back to an XP only machine today and had the
same problem with GPL when XP was first released. At the time no one could
come up with a fix so I went to dual boot Win98/XP. I've done this install
of XP using FAT32 though so should be ok, but that info is good to know for
future reference. Think I'll go install GPL now and see how it runs on XP
with my new GF4 4200.
