GPL sound breaks up under Windows XP

by Phil Bake » Fri, 05 Oct 2001 20:42:09

I have a dual boot system, Windows ME, and Windows XP Home Edition (2600).

GPL works great under Me, but the sound breaks up under XP, in all other
respects it is fine, any ideas?

I don't think it is the Via chipset and SBLive problem as all other apps
work fine in XP, and everything works fine under Me.

Spec:
1.4ghz Athlon
Abit KT7A
512mb memory
SBLive Value
GF2 Ultra

Any help appreciated....

It's a problem with the default XP drivers. Creative will be releasing new
drivers some time this month.

Creative will be releasing XP drivers soon.  I have several games that the
sound is messed up on in XP.

There is a driver on the net that fixes this problem... I got it from a
french site that was linked from ntcompatible..  Fixed it for me.. Maybe you
will be as lucky.
