A warning will just do, I hope...

Don't say that I (and thousands of others) didn't warn you...

I hope the Codemasters guys can read... which I seriously doubt...

Just read some of the posts here - it looks niceish - sounds good ish - nice
variety of tracks and cars ( even if very inaccurate) - but it drives like
total shit

I agree. I haven't played it myself, but from what I've read it apparently
drives like shit, so I won't even bother with it, no matter how good it
looks. Are you listening, all you so-called software companies? Physics
engine first, graphics later.

Read the reviews above and have cancelled my order  :)   No point in buying
the game if you're unable to steer the car!

Why?  Wrong cars, wrong drivers, wrong tracks.

They listen to sales - not sim racers.

But in this news group everything drives like shit except one particular
sim. The should at least rename the newsgroup for crying out loud.

*Wonders how many other newsgroups would tolerate "I ran a 1:34.8 at Los
Lomos Raceway" posts.*

DON'T BUY TOCA RACE DRIVER

I'd pre-ordered it some time ago as I've always beed a fan of codemaster's
racing games such as TOCA and Colin but after trying out the latest demo I
cancelled straight away. It just doesn't drive right, even the older demo of
it was much better and it doesn't even look that good and the cut sceens are
just appalling and a waste of time.

I'm sticking to GTR2002

If you *really* believe that, we must be reading different newsgroups...

Any other groups that dealt with racing simulators/games, I guess.  Where's Los
Lomos Raceway?

I had it on pre-order and then when I tried the demo I
switched the pre-order to F1 Career Challenge.

EA's not perfect but I love F1 2002.

I tried the demo for the first time this morning and although I kinda
enjoyed parts of it the poor steering was a real disappointment. Plus
going to the race after completing the driving test twice caused my PC
to reboot!! Anybody else found that?
