F1 2000 should i buy it?

I agree, and have just watched Rubens B from an in car shot going round
Imola and was very impressed by how accurate F12K is to that track.  I was
also very impressed by the accuracy of Interlagos a couple of weeks ago.

That's not what Greg is saying at all!
Read the posts properly. F12K is a great racing sim whether there are other
ones out there or not.

When one attacks someone personally because they don't like a product,
he has put that product on a pedastal - beyond reproach.

The nutcake is a trouble maker because he is whining about
track innaccuracy which is not true. Imola is way more accurate
than his blanket statements. that makes him a trouble maker.

I may not like NFS or dirttrack racing or TOCA or viper.
But I am not constantly flaming those sims. Frankie seems
to get too much delight in pointing out what he considers
flaws in just about every F1 sim I can remember.

Screw him... IMHO.

Are you making this up as you go along??? I am getting ready
to personally attack you, but that doesn't have anything to do
with putting any sim on a pedastal. It has to do with the fact that
you are starting to act like an ahole.

No, I have a short list of prepared statements I just cut and paste

Allow me some time to seek shelter, oooooh scary.

At least for me it's an act.

>All of which are bogus IMHO :-)

I disagree. The game is frightfully ugly and slow (either one by
itself might be forgiveable, but the combination certainly isn't). The
2-year-old Ubisoft F1 game looked WAY better than this.

I can't imagine someone saying that the Ubisoft F1 looks way better than
this one. Are you sure that something didn't go wrong with the
installation? Are you using some ancient videocard?

I do, but I'm not joking. I played the game on an Atholon 700 w/ TNT2.
It was ugly AND slow.

The game may well have a good physics model. Sounds like it does, and
that's great. But to pretend the graphics engine is not a dog is a
disservice to the people reading this newsgroup.

Tried it on a TNT2 and Voodoo3. Atholon (sp?) 700 CPU. But ugly and
dog slow.

Something is very wrong with your setup - I'm running a Celeron 416 with a
TNT(1) and it looks better than any other F1 sim with very acceptable
framerates.
Have you turned *any* details down or is your judgement only based on
'everything on full'?
