Well after a couple of hours of bad words, now it works! Try not to use
it under dos older than 7.0 (aka win95's dos) and it will run; at least
for me worked!
I have a p120 w 48meg ram, s3 trio64 with 2meg vram

I've meantioned this in another post but...

Check the "integrity" of the files after downloading. I use PKWARE
Unzip/zip. It's shareware and the URL can be found on my links page. This
will eliminate 'downloading' as the problem.

I got the demo on the third download try, checked the files for
corruption, and simply unzipped them to a new NASCAR2 directory. It
installed itself. I added my NASCAR1 SOUND.CFG and CONTROLS.CFG files,
and it worked just like NASCAR1. I have a T2, and everything worked
EXACTLY the same.

I have a Dell P75 (Intel Pentium -1 yr old), 16 megs RAM, DOS 6.20,
Windows for Wrkgrps 3.11, and a Number Nine FX Motion 2Megs VRAM vid card
set at 32768 colors, 800 X 600 resolution, Non Virtual resolutions.

I've even been able to run/start the demo (haven't tried to 'race' yet,
though) in a DOS session from Windows 3.11. I can run NCR1 completely
from Windows.

I haven't tried UniVibe yet.

Hope this info helps...

Well, I've used it with DOS 6.22 and it worked fine.

Funny that nobody's complained about the missing Ford logos yet. <g>

That was probably the first thing I noticed about the game, and it did***me
off a little since i'm a Ford fan. I figured it was a copyright/licensing
thing.

On a related note, I laughed real hard when I saw Rusty Wallace had suddenly
become his own sponsor, complete with "Rusty" script on the side of his car.
Even thinking about it now makes me chuckle. :)

No beer or tobacco sponsors allowed. I'm sure there will be a few more cars
they will have to deal with (23, 25, 33, 41 & 42 off the top of my head,
probably others I missed).

Damn, that ticks me off!!  Why not boycott McDonalds?  Doesn't heart disease
count?  Let's all get our cholest***count up to about 400 and visit the
coronary ward of our local hospital. Censorship of this kind really gets me
riled. Who dares defend Spam???<g>  A game is a game, take it for what it is.
Six year olds can decapitate the world with Duke and Doom and blow chunks
against the screen and ol' Rusty can put a beer logo on his car?!?
The Atlanta Braves had to remove a Marlboro sign that was being shown on TV.
How the hell did any of us survive with all this "satanic" stuff we were
subjected to when we were young. We all want authenticity, and damn, if the guy
is sponsored by dog shit, I would expect to see a pile on his hood. This is
just another bandwagon for the "holier than thou" ***s to climb onto.
Well, I'm done.....vent ...vent ...see ya at Richmond, Dave.

Terry, I couldn't have said it better myself.... :-)

Miller logos

I'm with you, Terry. They can watch WC on television and see the cars. They
can see the ads in magazines and beer ads on TV as well. But put in a game
(that's probably played mostly by 20'ish males) and it's against the law.
<sigh>

See ya at Richmond. I get dizzy on that track, too much turning... <g>

Fortunately, there are creative people out there that will hopefully make
"real" carsets after the release of NC2.
