I was doing some laps at Mexico City today and turned in a 1:52.00  in the
Lotus (a rather startlingly good time for me).  But it doesn't show up in
Best Laps.

This kinda thing ever happen to anyone else?

I'm running 1.2 by the way.

Yep, if you cut a corner too much. Inside Mexico's
track.ini, there are four checkpoints listed which must be
passed through, otherwise the lap won't count: turn 2, turn
3, hairpin, complex before Peralta. The fun really starts
when some online race servers turn the checkpoint-checking
off...

Interesting!  I took a look at the replay, and I do dip into the grass with
a tire or two here and there -- didn't look like shortcutting to me, but
there you are.

Damn.  That was a good lap for me.

Thanks for your explanation, Ricardo!  Are there "checkpoints" in all the
tracks?  I'd never heard of this.

hmmm Strange. I'd just been looking at a replay where I set a PB lap, with
no cut corners at rouen, and its not been registered in my best laps for the
car I was using (Brab). Kinda weird. Anyway Ricardo youre wrong because if a
lap does show in replay or on pitboard, then it is a recorded lap. No
question about it. The idea that the best lap isnt recorded cos you cut a
corner doesnt even stand up one second, the lap wouldnt show period.
