Your not slow at all. Ive had the full game for 3 months now and still only
manage 1:10 consistantly at watkins (this is in the BRM though...quite a bit
slower thanb the brabham). My best is in the eagle at 1:07.54 but i cant do
that consistantly. Against the AI your about a mid-fielder. Dont get
discouraged though if you cant master all the tracks. I still havent. Ive got
Monza, Kyalami, Silverstone, Watkins(sorta) and Spa down but the rest are still
tricky to me. The Nurburgring is just too hard. It could take you a year to
get that track figured out.
As far as the camber goes...you definately need it. Right now you only have
about half of the tire on the road which means about half the grip. The ideal
camber setting lets all four wheel be flat on the track in a straight line.
Look at the tire temps to do this. If the outside is too hot you need more
Negative camber. If the inside is too hot you need more Positive camber. Only
adjust these settings one (or in extreme cases 2 or 3) clicks at a time.
When you get the full version read the book "Four Wheel Drift" (aka Strategy
Guide). The setup section is indespensible even to someone like me who
understands all that stuff in the setup screen. And dont hesitate to ask if
you encounter a problem. Most GPL drivers are willing to help newbies.
