I'm proud owner of a Logitech FF wheel. After trying at serial AND USB
I cannot see any difference.
Isn't there any?

It appears to me, from past discussion and from experience, that there
is an imperceptible performance hit when using the serial port versus
the usb. I'm using the serial bus.
I switched back to Win95 after installing 98 and seeing a perceptible
performance loss -- not in games as much as running the OS and other
programs. It felt sluggish compared to 95.
The deciding factor for me is that while there exists a difference in
performance in both cases, the difference in OS choice was a visible
one, while the difference in bus choice I could not see.
That said, usb is easier to work with, being hot-pluggable. But since
my wheel is perpetually mounted on my desk <G>, that's not a big issue
for me.

I've been considering that combo, but thought there might be a problem plugging
a USB wheel into non-USB pedals. I've heard CH Products is coming out with
USB pedals this summer and thought I'd wait. I must have a misunderstanding.

You really can't plug in pedals into the LWFF. What you have to do is open
the pedal case and pull the wires off the pots and replace the wires on the
appropriate pots inputs on your pedals of choice. There was a good detailed
desc of doing this on gpl.gamestats.com/vroc
