Act Labs RS wheel on USB and GP2 doesn't work....

I know GP3 is almost upon us, and everything I've seen of the screen shots
and those vid clips suggest its going to be fantastic, but does anyone know
how the Act labs FF wheel connected via USB can work with GP2 - a DOS game?
Act LABS say it won't work with DOS games, but that's because my
autoexec.bat and config.sys files don't recognise the USB port.  Anyone know
if there is a way of getting DOS to recognise USB and therefore the wheel??

I could always ask Act Labs I suppose - they are nice folk :-)  But you guys
are the experts.........
