I was racing at Laguna Seca and just before regular pit stop times it went
yellow and everybody came into the pits. Running Second and in the pits I
was taking on fuel when it got rammed in the nose by a car trying to fit
into it's slot in the pits. My question is why are the slots so small?
There's no way all the cars can fit in there at one time, especially with
some coming and leaving.

I had the same problem in Vancouver, but if you take care not to park too
far forward in your pit box, the car in front slots in without hitting you.

You can also lower the number of cars allowed to race at the track.  Go
into the track.txt file (where "track" is the name of the track you are
racing; eg NWENGLND.TXT) and change the number of CARS to a lower number.
This will space them out farther apart in the pit lane.
