ICR2: pitting window question

by Jim Kalinows » Sat, 30 Aug 1997 04:00:00

I play ICR2 at 50% with the AI pit windows set to half their normal
size (I never put more then 20 gallons of fuel into my car).  This
makes pit stops more of a factor by forcing everyone to pit twice in a
race.

Two things I've noticed:

1) The AI cars seem to drive as if they have less fuel in them (but
I've never verified this with replays).

2) The AI pit stops ARE NOT any shorter.  They still average around 16
seconds, while I can now do a stop in 11 or 12 seconds.

To not gain an unfair advantage in the pits, I count to 4 after I've
been dropped from the jacks before leaving my pit box.  Does anyone
know if there is a way to adjust the AI's pit time?

Hope this helps,
Jim
