Hi Brad,
Maybe you've already figured out that this is not a bug.
Example: you started with 40 gal fuel, ran 50 laps, and now you
have 10 gal but you only have 30 more laps so you don't won't a
40 gal pit since 20 more gal will be plenty. Hit pause, hit F3,
and use your > key to read "fill to 20 gal". When you pit your
crew will give you 10 more gal (20 gal total). Does this make
sense?
In other words, if you have 4 gal then you can change it all
the way up to 40 gal. If you already have 40 gal then you can't
change it to anything until your fuel gradually becomes less.
The key is "fill *TO* " based on what you presently have in
your tank.
Hope this helps.
Later...

They do work, but remember the crew cannot siphon gas out of the
tank. Depending what you set the car up for in the garage, you have to
wait til you've burned the fuel. When racing and about to pit for a
splash and go, I hit f3 and then lower the fuel to just the ammount I
want.(hopefully enough to get to the end...)
