GPL & Steering calibration

by Ric » Sun, 20 Dec 1998 04:00:00

Every time I start GPL, I have to calibrate the steering, brake and Gas
pedals. Then reassign the shifter and clutch etc. buttons every time I
start a new game.

Is there a way to save these settings?

Thanks

I'd bet you've got a new Thrustmaster wheel.  I had one too, and it's
apparently a driver issue.  Go to your control panel/game controllers menu and
remove the wheel you've got showing currently.  Add your wheel back as a
custom, 4-axis(3 won't work), 4-button race car controller, and then calibrate
it.  You'll have to ignore one of the axes while calibrating, and you'll lose
buttons 5 & 6 in games, but GPL will remember the settings and work ok
otherwise.

Cheers,

Steve B.

I bought a "Nascar Sprint", liked the shifter on the wheel rather than off to the
side...

I'll try your suggestion...

thanks

The latest drivers should help fix the problem of the lost calibration.
Check http://www.thrustmaster.com/support/sprint.htm
