losing FF in N4 & N2002

Picked up NASCAR 2002.  Surprised to see I still lose force feedback when I
select a track and it starts loading.  This is exactly what happened in N4.
I am using an older (red) Logitech Wingman Formula Force.  Is there a fix or
workaround?  Has anyone else seen this?

The only way to recover is to select the optimized driver, (click through it
since it doesn't work for the Logitech), go back and select the other one,
recalibrate the wheel and pedals, assign the wheel and shift paddles.

Thanks,
Russell

I'm using a LWFF (original red), and and I don't have that problem at all with GPL, N4, or N2002.
I've run them on XP, 98, 2000, and ME with no such results.  If you have more than one game
controller like a joystick or gamepad, etcc, and don't always connect it up, then this could happen,
since the controller id's would possibly change, but other than that, you've got some local problem.

my problem is very similar. same wheel. i lose all FF after 20 laps though.
I have to do the same thing to get it back. sucks when you're online!

I have a MS-FF wheel and a Thrustmaster Gamepad. When they are both
connected (both USB) it is impossible to assign the wheel for steering. When
I disconnect the gamepad, everything works fine (including FF).

If you lose the FF while driving, the wheel may be overheating.  I had that
problem and fixed it by turning down the amount of force.

Yep! I had an on-going problem with the Logi-Red wheel. Turning the amount
of FF usually fixes the problem.

- Isotrip?

I had the same problem a few weeks back with the FF disapearing from my
Ferrarr FF wheel in all DX games. I tried all sorts of things but I finally
cured it completely by re-installing DX 8.1. The problem only started after
I'd upgraded my Detonator graphics drivers.

Now I've got my Force back I'm a happy bunny
