It may surprise one or two of you but I actually bought N2002 yesterday. :-)
The whole sim seems excellent. No bugs on my system: P4 1600, GF2Ti, Avance
AC '97 audio, 320megs, XP, Ferrari FF wheel. FPS are good in D3D and no
sound problems. Connecting to multiplayer was simple with my cable modem.

No complaints at all, but just one question. With the ff, I don't feel any
bumps on the tracks, and there is no engine vibration like in F12001. Is
this right?

Well, come to think of it, I don't recall feeling any engine vibration either -
at least not like in F1 2001.  But, as for bumps on the tracks, I feel 'em.  Try
entering turn three at Coca-Cola on the preferred line at speed.  I definitely
feel a transition there....

This is with an LWFF.

Papyrus has never modeled the smaller bumps with the frequency of the ISI
tracks.  They do get the bigger dips and humps but the bumpiness of the F1
tracks by ISI just isn't there.

Yes, I notice that as well. Although with my windows settings on my Momo set
to 120%, and the ingame FF set to 100%, going through the grass will
certainly give your wrists a little workout.
The FF in F12001, while much more complicated and tweakable, is certainly
better imho. I still prefer driving N2002 with FF on though.

Because the "resolution" of our FFB wheels isn't high enough to process
multiple forces, so if you are feeling the small bumps and engine vibration
(what is it, a 4x4?), you are missing something else.

In F12001, I feel the engine vibration, small bumps, and everything else I
feel in N2002. What am I missing then?

I don't know, but after reading this I'm -definately- missing
something in F1 2001 :-/

Yes you are, I just wish I could tell you what.  Honestly I have gotten
so used to the FF in F1 2001 that when I go back and play a Papy game it
feels sluggish, unresponsive, and downright unrealistic in comparison.
For me at least F1 2001 is the new standard for FF.  I honestly don't
know why you and a number of other people are having trouble with it, I
certainly wish I could help.
