If anyone is interested there are some videos and sound clips at
http://www.rally99.com/download.html This is the first I've heard of
this sim. It looks like it could be real fun :)

The only difference is the motion blur and antialiasing provided by
Lightwave.

The video you have seen is a very early version, when the physics model was
so underdeveloped it had handling similar to Quake! This explains the 'on
rails' feeling when watching the footage.
IRC was a huge dissapointment, I brought it for 40 and sold it 2 weeks
later for 15!
This is a quote from a Mag Fields employee from y site forum :
"We won't be releasing anything until the physics are spot on - we know what
went wrong with IRC and we know which games we need to beat.
We have BRC drivers lineing up to test drive the physics and force feedback
for us, so the car feel should be perfect".
I will not by RC if the handling isn't at least as good as CMR, and Magnetic
Fields and Europress should know this. They want to sell as many copies as
possible, and that means beating the competition.
Look and listen to/at the game so far, Surely Mag Fields would not spoil a
game on the last thing we have not seen, would they?
Back to a more graphical note, there are 4 news screenshots on my site now :

Never mind the quality, feel the width...
Long straights and a good sensation of speed do no a good rally game make.
Although I have to say there's not really much competition out there for the
title of "best rally game". CMR may be short on stage length, but handling
at least feels good enough for the old suspension of disbelief.
