Gran Turismo 2 on the PC

Hi

May be of some interest---
I know its more of a game than a Sim. But if anyone is interested it runs
perfect on the PC (from backed up copy) using epsxe emulator.
Of course it hasnt GPL physics but I can see why they rate it , it really is
an excellent game. Gives light relief after the GPL concentration
Only prob is the controller, I am using a digital game pad.

Cheers
Martin

I saw Gran Tourismo 3 on a demo PS/2 machine at Best Buy yesterday.

I was NOT impressed!!!

Graphics are horrible.  Controlling the cars nearly impossible.  Physics?
WHAT Physics?

I don't see what all the hype is about.  Really, I don't.

Perhaps what you saw is a really old demo.  I played one back in May,
and like you, I was not impressed.  The final game, however, has none of
the problems you mention.  Graphics?  Best ever on PS2.  Control?
Perfect.  Physics?  It's not GPL, bit it's close to F355.
Also, did you see it on one of those 13: Vega's.  I don;t know what it
is but hose things look REALLY bad.  Trust me, if you hoook it up to
your TV with S-video or component cables, your jaw will drop.  It looks
better than any PC game I;ve ver seen.

Martin:

Where could I find that emulator? I'm a GPL racer who loved the game
on the Playstation.

Troll?

Not until YOU posted...

It wasn't a troll at all.  I simply stated what I saw.  It sucked.

Go be an annoyance somewhere else please...

Well, if that wasn't a troll, I don't know what is. You must need a trip to
the opticians because GT3 looks better than ANY driving game I've ever seen
on any format. It plays rather well too.
And please don't try and tell me where I can or can't post ..Thanks

I saw one at a Best Buy, too.  I thought the graphics were pretty good.
Reflections and shadows on the cars, crisp clear colors, etc.  I didn't play
it, so I can't comment on the physics or the controls.  But, I thought the car
behaved as expected on the road.
