any thoughts on this?  a friend of mine recently got a Momo wheel
(I've got the new LWFFGP), and I have to admit I could never imagine
such a huge difference.  of course, the Momo is a lot tighter, but
that was expected.  I find that with the Momo, I can "feel" the car in
a lot more detail--it even seems I can feel it with my ***now.  the
experience has of course made me realized that I definitely _need_ the
absolute best. :)

so what's the deal?  is the ACT FF even better, disregarding the
obvious benefit of the clutch and shifter?

Most of what I have read puts them about even.  Never tired and Act Labs but
I have the MOMO and love it.  Lots of reports of the new Act Labs pedals
breaking easily.

You can get those without having to get the wheel.  Apparently (I do not
speak from experience) even if you do get the AL wheel you're better off
getting the USB shifter, as the version that goes with the wheel uses some
of the buttons on the wheel unit, if you know what I mean.

And if you've got an old pedal setup lying around, you can make your own
clutch...
