I never got it working either. Partway around a lap -- even after a
chat session with the host so I know it wasn't a host 'boot'ing me off
-- I would get the message "You have been removed from this race" (or
words to that effect).
Tried:
Firewall enabled and disabled.
Router enabled and direct connect to my modem.
Antivirus program enabled and disabled.
(no problems with VROC)
And not that many races anytime I've been on the Relay site, and only
three or four racers per race. Basically a recipe for leaving F1 2001
and Relay alone (IMHO). The only reason I haven't removed it from my
computer is lack of energy.
Posted a message in the Relay forums asking about this; the last time I
checked -- more than a week after posting the question -- there were no
answers or suggestions. Forums seem as moribund as the racing. Too bad!
