Not only do you not need the CD now, but you can race on-line.
This tip is only intended for those who legally purchased their copy of N4,
and only want to use it as THEY wish to use it as the legal purchaser.

There is probably an option to turn the auto-insert feature off.

It's not a waste of space if it accomplishes your goal :)

2.4 Note for ALL operating systems:
-----------------------------------
Virtual DAEMON Manager starts with Windows by default. You can disable this
behaviour in the options menu by unchecking 'Autostart' option! You may run
the manager manually, if you want, by clicking on the shortcut placed on the
desktop by setup. Emulation will not be active until you run the Manager and
select the desired emulation!
Images previously mounted are remounted after reboot if you have 'Autostart'
enabled. If 'Autoinsert Notification' (AIN) is enabled, too, the mounted
images
will 'Autorun'. To prevent this disable AIN or deselect 'Automount' in
DAEMON
Manager.
So I guess we're both sort of right, but without AIN you don't have to
remount whenever you want to play.
