When i install the new patch with improved AI i can't play the game
because of CD-protection :-(((

Yeah, it's called stop being a thieving looser and buy the friggin' game.
Jees, why don't you just walk into the store, hide the box under your shirt
and walk out (it's the same as pirating).  Aren't you disgusted with your
own lack of morals?

maybe he needs it for his network and the freeking guys over at eidos
haven't thought about this. why do game makers don't think about the guys
with a couple off computers on a network and want too race there no they
make cd-copy protections and stuff for people who copy these cd's but the
copy protectoins don't work anyway so why bother there are always cracked by
someone.

Still on the topic of this thread, does anyone know of a good
NO-CD/FAKE-CD program for win95/98 ?

And don't tell me to go buy the effing games, I always do, I'm just
really really fed up about running around the house looking for my CD's
all the time, I'd much prefer to have them nicely tucked away in their
boxes on the shelf and never have to take them out again, this need for
a CD in the player is really annoying, and it mostly "hurts" those that
actually buy the games anyway, those I know that mostly uses warez have
cracked versions anyway, I mean, I bought Jagged Alliance 2 the other
day, full install was 800 megs !!! and I STILL need the effing CD to
play !!!

May I suggest VirtualDrive?

You need a lot of drive space, but what it does it create an image of each
of your Cd's.  Then, you use a VD utility to 'insert' one of the images into
a phantom CD-ROM drive you set up during installation.

It works with most games, and even some copy protected one's, but not all.

One it won't work with is Need For Speed 4.  It appears to have a 'laser
pit' at the 1.6MB mark.  Too bad, since it's one of the most unbalanced CD's
I have and the computer walks across the desk when I use it.  I've exchanged
it twice.  It appears they did a lousy production run on the CD's :(
