Are you 100% sure that you've downloaded the correct one? There are 3 or 4
different versions, I thought I'd clicked on the English one but the file I
downloaded was the German one. I've just gone back and scrolled to the
bottom of the page where I found the English one.
Just a suggestion.

ps, I have finished downloading it yet so I'll tell ya later if it works.

Well, it doesn't work for me!  I scrolled down to the UK one, downloaded it,
still says Game CD not found.  It looks like exactly the same file to me -
same date, size everything.
What is going on here??

F1RC No-CD Patch

by David No » Fri, 20 Apr 2001 09:21:39

It works as long as you have 'a' disc in your drive, doesn't have to be
F1rc. When I first applied it I must have had a disc in my drive as all went
well but a few days later I got the No cd in drive error and thought WTF.
Took a awhile to put 2 & 2 together. Should be named 'any-cd patch' ;-)

I thought the whole point of having a nocd patch was to lower the wear and
tear on the cd drive....
dave henrie
(and since my 40x Toshiba only lasted 15 months, don't tell me about my
drive lasting for years)

You're right! How weird!  Hope that is sorted when the nocd patch for the
new patch comes out.

Nope, it's to save us the hassle of finding the correct cd everytime
we want to play a game..
or maybe this nocd patch which does require a cd in the drive is a
*** from cd drive manufacturers.. so we have to buy a new cd
drive more often..
