After recently re-installing Nascar2 on my computer after a lengthy layoff,
when the game starts to load my monitor,(Princeton eo72), goes black and
shows an error that the refresh rate is out of range.  However when I adjust
the refresh rate,(60hz-85hz), I get the same message.

When I installed the game there was one message that said "setup can not
install univbe drivers because no supervga chip was found",??

I am currently running an AMD k6-2 266mhz processor with a Diamond viper
v550 video card.

Has anyone out there seen this problem before?  And if so what can I do
about it?
I have just purchased a Microsoft sidewinder precisionpro wheel and am dying
to try it out on this game.

    I recall one video driver I had which allowed you to give it liberty to
speed up the refresh rate for games automatically.  You could de-select this
option if you had problems such as the one you describe.  I *think* you
could get to it through control panel|display properties|settings, but my
current setup does not have this setting, so I cannot be certain.

    I also O/Ced my VooDoo3 inadvertently because the jumper setting on my
MB that supposedly automatically adjusted the ratio of AGP to bus speed
didn't work right.  I had to manually set it to the 2/3 setting (on a 100Mhz
FSB.)  If I didn't, when I started any DOS session within Win98, it would
corrupt my palette and everything would get kinda black.  Since NASCAR2 is
essentially a DOS program, perhaps you are getting some of the same effect?
