ICR2 calendar / Nascar2 setups, help needed.

by kmw.. » Sun, 19 Jan 1997 04:00:00

1) Could anyone help me. I know how to edit the order of tracks on the
calendar
but does anyone know how to add an extra track to the calendar.
The 16th line is:
12 99 0 0 XXXXXXXX 9999
However, even if I alter this, the game only allows 15 races on the
calendar,
and ignores the last one.
Is this limit set by the main program, or is there a way to alter the
number
of races?

2)I am new to Nascar 2, and am trying to get to grips with the setups.
I am driving a Chevrolet Montecarlo combination.
Does anyone have a suggestion for a good basic startpoint with regards
to shocks. The default ones are all inclined toward heavy understeer,
which has never suited me.
Should I be working on opposite corners simultaneously, or on opposite
sides, or completely individually?

Many thanks,
Keith Windsor, UK

Go to some of the new NASCAR 2 Web pages and d/l some set-ups.  If you
also have NASCAR 1, there is a program to convert all the NASCAR 1
set-ups to NASCAR 2.

: ....the game only allows 15 races on the calendar.  Is this limit set
: by the main program, or is there a way to alter the number of races?

In ICR2 you can have as many as 41 races in a season.  If you do more
than 41, the first race will be repeated at the end of the list by as many
times as you go over 41.

Ex.  If I have 45 races scheduled, and Australia is the first one, then
the list would look like this:

40) Vancouver
41) Laguna
42) Australia
43) Australia
44) Australia
45) Australia

Anything up to 41 works ok.  At least on my copy of ICR2 v1.0.2.

All you need to do is add them with a text editor like this:

xx yy 0 0 Track
12 99 0 0 XXXXXXXX

where xx is the month and yy is the day

The last line must be 12 99 0 0 XXXXXXXX.

It is not necessary to include the 1995 at the end and the month and day
do not matter.

Don't change this line.  Put your added races before it in date order.
Make sure the Track name matches the directory name of the added event.
