It's incredible, I look forward to racing you on a partly wet Spa track.
Just imagine having to go through a very wet Blanchimont on slicks just
because a big part of the track is still dry.

Hmmmmm...... they speak of weather but the new screenshots seem to be only
some very small ones enlarged to unnecessary proportions (again).

*sniff*

Hopefully we'll get some juicy stuff as the week goes on.

These screen shots are not "new". They are taken from a promo video
that can be downloaded here: http://grandprix3.free.fr/

Now, after you have taken a look at this video, I wonder who will
still say that "GP3 will probably not be the best looking sim"  <G>

It looks Mucho Real to me!! To HELL with F12000 graphics.

From the article: "We drove round Interlagos in Brazil, suffering from a
rather rare torrential downpour. Interlagos is unusual in that it is the
only track in the season to be driven anti-clockwise. "

Only track driven anti-clockwise? What, no Imola?

Yes your right, I just managed to finish downloading that actually. Looks
great.

I'm impressed by now much the incar seems to have a very realistic colour or
look to it.

This just keeps getting better, I can't understand anyone who says it
doesn't...well I can, they can't stand something beating GPL.....

No no no no no no no no!

Everyone wants a sim that will walk all over GPL. But we've been let
down so many times there's no point getting up false hopes.

Exactly so! Bring all those other sims on, I say!  As soon as we find the
true GPL beater then we'll talk about nothing  but it. Then the people that
complain about too much GPL talk will complain that there is too much talk
about Sim XYZ and that if we were a proper RAS we'd give equal time to abc
and pdq. Other people would conduct polls........ :)

Wel, the problem is of course that different people have different
ideas about the ideal sim.

A simulator can concentrate on being a RACING simulator and/or a
CARPHYSICS simulator. GPL people have trouble believing that you can
have a sim that is perfect in one of those aspects without being
perfect in the other.

They need to loosen up a bit  :-)

To be a complete pedant, I must point out, Jo, that a *simulator* is a
device.  A *simulation* is provided by software.

No matter what I try, I never succeed in starting flamewars.. I only harvest
stupid off-topic replies   <G>

Maybe r.a.s. isn't a valid newsgroup after all  (this time it should work  ;-)

Good point but it only brings us back to the point that other sims aren't
given a chance on RAS sometimes.

Graphically GPL's ass has been whooped by many.

And the physics of a number of sims have been a bit under-rated in the last
year or so.

Shocking! The things you say! To think that people differ!

Oddly enough many of "GPL people " have no problem with that concept. You
are familiar with "straw man" argument?

"They" are not the only ones.  ;)

% Good point but it only brings us back to the point that other sims aren't
% given a chance on RAS sometimes.

Who doesn't give them a chance.  We are all hungry for a GREAT sim and
we give them all a chance.  Gee I wonder what we talked about before
GPL?  At that time I remember 1/2 the crowd not giving ICRII a chance
cuz GP2 was the king of the hill.  Hmmmmmm....

% Graphically GPL's ass has been whooped by many.

Graphically is not the key for hard core simmers....

% And the physics of a number of sims have been a bit under-rated in the last
% year or so.

By whom?  I hear SCGT and Viper praised quite alot in this group (and
there are those that still sing the praises of GP2).  I don't think it
is that they are under-rated, they are unfortunately be rated against
the king of physics (currently).  Why even NFS:PU has had its physics
praised in r.a.s.

They shouldn't! Look at all the WARS that it causes!! And racism! And sexism!
And hooliganism!!

Cloning is the solution.

I don't think you need a lot of time to find all too many who actually DO.

Who else? Khadafi? Zjirinovski?
