Stunning..

Would love to know the spec of the machine making those screenshots and
at what frames.

Cheers,
Rod.

There is even the reflection of the trees in the water.
Look at the shot taken from the start: Is that a dry line on the middle of
the track?
But I do beleive that in real F1 there's more spray.

I guess it depends on the heaviness of the rain. I remember the Adelaide
GP many years ago where drives were ramming each other because they
couldn't see each other in the spray. I don't think we'll see that in
GP3, but if I recall correctly, many of the commentators were screaming
for the race to be abandoned.

Cheers,
Rod.

Look carefully at that 'on the grid' shot and you can make out the
reflections of the pit complex and the grandstands. I don't really think
these static shots can do justice to this reflection effect. I reckon it'll
look much better in motion.

also it seems that there is some dry section and some sections with pool of
water :)

It looks stunning in motion. You see puddles forming and the reflections
gradually appearing. And then a dry line appears, all extremely impressive.
Have to sus out somthing better now :o)

I'm a Game developper on PSX, AI and special effects on VR2 and NFS5.
So, i'm a bit jealous of PC developpers who have so much power for their special
effects !!! :o(
But with the PS2 i'm now happy as if i beat my 1:28 GPL lap reccords :)

Aniway, screenshots look great , i'm really impatient to see it in motion.

Projected tree shadow on Rally Racing Simulation from Ubi Soft is impressive
too.

How great it is to see another developer giving such positive comments on
someones work. Could you give a bit of an insight on the difficulties that
you come across to create an weather effect like this?

I don't believe Geoff Crammond......how could he do this to me...a loyal fan
of his games.......

He made the damn thing so friggin' great I nearly fainted.....
Its unbelievable.!

The incar show form the Prost(?) following the Jag is perfect, very little
vision of the track ahead, You'll need to keep watching the sides to be sure
where you are, so F1 drivers themselves do.
The reflections look cool. I'm motion driving down the straight must be
awesome with these around.
The rain drops fly towards you when your moving again, brilliant!
The LCD display is so clear and big, but it looks great.
There is so much ***y detail in the mirrors I don't believe it.
The 3D objects of the pit and other buildings have come along way from GP2!
Must be the first sim to truly recreate the pit wall tents.... properly that
is....
You can easily tell the difference between dry, drizzle, heavy rain, what
ever....
The crowds is photo-realistic
Wet tyres!
Of course, let us not forget...new tracks.... Melbourne looks fantastic,
lots of work put in.

Oh god, I need a deep breath...... WOW!
