geForce2 GP3 / GP3 2001 blank screen W2k Windows 2000

I have the 64M geforce2 and GP3 and all I get is a blank screen.  I
have tried detonator versions 12.40, 12.90, 14.10 all from
http://www.racesimcentral.net/ and version  21.83 from http://www.racesimcentral.net/.
None work with GP3.

When I launch the game, I hear the music and can navigate menus (I
know how by keystroke from memory), I can even start a race.  The
sounds tell me what is going on, I can drive around blind and crash
into things, so I know the game is working, but the video drivers are
not.

Please help me, I NEED to race again!
Thanks!

You can try switching the monitor off and on.

Thanks Bart.  If you are kidding around, my question was actually
serious.  I can [ALT]+[TAB] back to any other program, the monitor is
fine.  It is obviously a nvidia driver/game compatibiliy issue.  I am
wondering if anyone else has had this problem and been able to rectify
it.

have you got the win2k service pak that enables win98 compatibility mode?

I am not kidding. I went back to Asus 12.90 drivers on my GForce2 GTS since
any 2x.xx driver has given me trouble in GPL, and now sometimes GP3 would
show me a black screen instead of the track. At first I thought GP3 had
crashed, but later I found my monitor sometimes fails to pick up the changed
signal. It does however after switching it off and on.

Was a pity I had to go back from the 22.50 drivers btw. They have some sort
of cache mechanism that makes GP3 load the track much faster for the 2nd and
more time. Which was really nice for hotlapping :)
