What happened today at the end of the race reminded me of exactly why I
don't much care for F1 racing.

Politics.  It's all damned Politics.

I've seen team mates help each other in every form of racing, but what I saw
today was a pathetic decision from the team 'bosses'.

And that's all I have to say about that.

And Todt is a liar as well.

The thing I don't get is why did they make it look so obvious.
Couldn't Ruben's pit crew take 5 secs longer to fill up the tank?
Stall a bit in the pit.  Or "accidently" misplace a tire?  Then we
wouldn't even be talking about it.

Would Williams do something like this?  I'm not really sure who is the
#1 driver at Williams but I don't think JPM would pull over to let RS
take a victory, doesn't seem like JPM's style.

I do not have much to add about little Todt's latest blunder (not that it is
the first time either... remember the Paris-Dakar rally that Ari Vatanenen
won over Jacky Ickx after Peugeot's director Todt tossed a coin ?)

Except maybe that, in Austria, tourists can buy "we don't have kangaroos"
T-shirts.

Perhaps Patrick Head could answer this for me:

"What we saw here was a disgusting, cynical act."

Did Patrick Head really say this???  What a hypocrite!  Brazilian GP,
1981, second race of the season.  Reutemann, the number two driver in
the team, is in the lead, followed by team leader, Alan Jones in 2nd
place.  Williams ordered Reutemann to pull over and let Jonesy win.
Reutemann disobeys team orders and goes on to win the race. Big
brouhaha within Team Williams!   Seems to me that only Carlos'
disobedience saved this from also being a "disgusting, cynical act".
