OT: Real F1 racing - sucks to be in San Fran Bay Area

I've been pretty e***d about this season's F1 season. Unfortunately I
missed the beginning of the season in Australia but from what I've read it
sounded like it was a really good race. So I've been all hyped up during the
past week or two for the one in Malaysia and I was going to watch it on the
tube or at least tape it. I checked my local listing and to my horror it's
not going to be on! UGH!

I noticed that there's going to be a NASCAR and an Indy type car race, but
not Formula One. That blows! I guess it's only good enough for network or
cable TV in countries outside the United States. So now I need to scramble
and find someone with DirectTV and had the Speed channel. UGH!!! Thank
goodness my parents own the satellite dish. I just hope they can figure out
how to tape it for me.

I just wish I was able to see it on regular cable tv. I remember seeing one
or two F1 races last season. Oh well, such is life in the SF Bay Area. It
sucks.

"nathantw"
Does not the Bay area have Speed?   The race is NOT on Sunday here in
the states...but 10pm Frisco time on SATURDAY night.  It will replay on
Sunday evening...I think 6pm West coast time.  Find a bar with Speed...

It was on Sunday morning at 1 am.  I took a nap Saturday evening, then got
up and watched the whole thing live.  Great race, lot's of surprises.  I
will say no more...

The Bay Area is one of the nicest places to live in the world.
Because you can't see a F1 race live for free it sucks here?  LOL...  You
mustn't of lived here very long cause traffic and fools is what makes it
suck here, not lack of free F1 :)

I've lived here all my life. I can truly say I'm a native. I bet you can't
say that. I've seen enough of the Bay Area. Just because I want to watch F1
racing and it's not offered doesn't mean I don't like where I live.

Again, it sucks to live in the Bay Area, especially San Francisco where
people think that shutting down the city by preventing people from going to
work as they trying to make ends meet will stop a war.

\Bay Area is one of the nicest places to live in the world.

What I don't understand is this:  Didn't the original post mention
Nascar and CART.  CART is on the same cable net as F1.  If there was a
listing for CART, then why not F1?

Of course I can say that.

It was offered live.  I saw sat night/sun morn.

You said it sucks here?

California politics are the worst in the United states.  Like I said "Fools"
and  "Traffic" is what sucks, not the place.

My mistake then.

What channel? If you say a channel I get I'm going to have a cow.

Well, if you say it was on a channel I have access to then I suck.

YES! Traffic and fools do suck. This is way off topic, but California
politics suck so much that if you're lucky enough to get a bonus check
from your job you'll have the usual taxes taken out by the state and
government but wait, that's not all. The state will then take a few
more percentage points off your check so that we can contrubute to
their "state debt." I was so glad I could help out...NOT! My
"contribution" was thanks to the now defunct dot-coms who used to make
a lot of money. Thanks Gray Davis.

He said "Indy type race" - you know, the IRL "race" at Phoenix?  What a farce.
I hope Gil recovers soon and retires before he gets killed in that ***er
league/series/whatever...
