Can I check whether my ping time is too high?? Can that be of any use?

% Can I check whether my ping time is too high?? Can that be of any use?

It maybe more related to a "slow" link in your connection to the server.
In Windows open a DOS box and run the "ping" command ("ping /?" will
give you command options).  Then you may want to run "tracert" ("/?"
will also give you command options.  When you "join" via VROC, make note
of the IP address in the address book box and then exit GPL and run the
above commands.

Excessively high ping rates could cause this, but more than likely
"timeouts" will usually cause this.  I connection is made, but then
packets are lost and the connection times out.  This is where tracert
can help determine whether the cause is with our ISP or the Internet
cloud they are connected to.
