Can GPL be configured to use a split-axis wheel/pedal combo?

Yes, and it's really easy to setup too. Just post here if you have any
problems setting it up.

As long as Windows correctly sees the split-axis, GPL has an excellent controller calibration
routine.  If Windows doesn't see it correctly, not a chance.

Thanks Andre...

I'm downloading the patches from Papy as we speak.

Thanks Biz...

My Windows sees the split axis correctly in my N3, N4, and NR2002.  So
it should see it in GPL.

Downloading the patches for GPL so you get version 1.2 is a very good
move, allthough you don't need any patch for split-axis support.

Thanks Andre...

I just finished downloading the 1.2 patch and the D3D patch for my
GeForce card.

Everything works just great...including the split-axis.

One more question:  My system is an AMD 1.333 T-bird with 256 megs of
RAM and a GeForce II 32 Meg card.

Do I need the "cpufix" patch?  I've seen posts indicating that it was
only to be used if your system was 1.7 gigs or faster.

Jim,
I have a similar setup and don't use the cpu fix, you need it if the game
stutters!

I don't use the cpu patch on my 1.333 and GPL works fine.

The cpufix is meant for 1.4MHz machines or faster.  I believe the readme file talks about it.

GPL and split axis?

I don't think that's entirely true. From what I remember, if you use a
controller connected to the gameport, GPL can read the raw data even if the
controller isn't set up in windows.
You're right of course for most of the modern USB wheels and such like.

Have they found a solution to the Carsound pack not working with the cpufix
patch ?

Exactly.. changing values with dxtweak has no influence on GPL for
example.
