Being a HUGE gp2 fan (remember being on my honeymoon in '96 in hawaii
waiting in line at the local software shop for my copy of gp2) I wasn't
at all disappointed in gp3. I fully expected (from all the rumours on
the racingsim websites) that it would basically be gp2 with 3d and
weather.
 The weather option is totally AMAZING. Dry lines develop during showers
and the monsoon rains are truly MONSOONS. Driving in the rain takes a
little bit of getting used to.
 As for the gfx - i'm kinda glad they were not overhauled as we have
learned from F12000 that an overhaul would result in unacceptable
framerates with all details on.
 I for one will enjoy racing gp3 and can't wait for the addons to start
popping up on the net.

P.S. - seems that all negativity on GP3 comes from people that know very
little of GP2 and those that knew it expected way too much. After all -
I remember multiple posts all over rumouring that it would be GP2.1 and
not GP3.

I am a huge gp2 fan, in fact I still consider gp2 to be the best f1 sim
around. Gp3's physics are totally shithouse. 98 cars were harder to drive,
that was obvious with the amount of spins the real guys done in practice
melbourne 98. How come then driving gp2 is a challenge and gp3 can be
thrashed like a school boy in the braking zones. I can do what the *** I
want with the wheel while braking and I just wont lose it.

I cant belive anybody compares this to gp2, its garbage.

Duh... All the negativity comes from the fact that we already had
GP2 and played the shit out of it several years ago. The bar needed
to be raised, not repainted.
