It seems to play ok for a while and then for no apparent reason when I
start the game the only race option available is a Network Game.
None of the other single race or championship races are available.
Any help/ suggestions would be appreciated...

Could be two things:
1) You do not have the cd in the drive, if this happens you can only
play a network game, put the cd in the drive and restart the game and
all should be well again.
2) The game has become corrupted. The only option here is to uninstall
TOCA2 and re-install the game again (save any vital set-ups or game
saves before re-installing!)

In the end I had to uninstall, manually remove all registry entries for TOCA
2 and then re-install. It is now working fine.
DISCLAIMER - the following is not guaranteed to work, and certainly NOT
guaranteed not to***up your system, so if you choose to do it you do so
entirely at your own risk.
If you want to do this, run RegEdit, search for entries containing 'TOCA'
(assuming you don't have TOCA 1 installed as well that is), and delete them
all.
