TOCA sound problem

TOCA sound problem

by Mike Hemb » Fri, 09 Jan 1998 04:00:00

When starting from the back of the grid the engine
sound is garbled, as soon as the cars spread out
a bit after a quarter of a lap or so the sound then
becomes perfect. It's as if too much demand is being
made on the system with all cars in view yet no frames
are dropped. I am running it on a P2 300 with 3dfx in
high detail and high resolution but would not expect
this problem on a machine of this speed.
Does anybody else have this problem?

I'm running P166, 64MB, AWE64 Soundcard, Orchid 3dfx and sound is fine at
highest detail levels. Have you got the latest drivers for your sound
card ?

Hope you can get it fixed !
