TOCA 2 sound patch?

Just bought TOCA 2 on a whim. While it's no sim it can be very
entertaining. However the wheelspin/skidding "sounds" are annoying in
the extreme. Very unrealistic and LOUD. Despite trying every in-game
sound adjustment, the problem remains. Does anyone know of the
existence of a patch to adjust or change these lousy sounds?  Thanks!
