Hi,

I'm wanting to install Dirt Track Racing, but am afraid to "mess up" my
N3 and GPL intalls.

Will GPL and N3 run OK with DirectX 7 ???

use DX7a...and you should have no problems. the key word with any
dx upgrade is "should"....

Technically speaking, all older games should work fine with DirectX 7, since
the DirectX 6 code (interfaces) is still there, and if the games were
written to use DirectX6 then they still will be doing. The problems arise
when hardware manufacturers make DirectX7 drivers that don't work with Dx6
games.
Anyway, what you really wanted to know is that GPL and N3 (as well as every
games I own and every piece of hardware I own) work fine with Dx7a.

DirectX 7.0a! I am using DirectX 6.1 now.

I have done it two times. Last time by formatting C:\ partition. The first
time I used either of these utilities. I don't remember which one.
