When I attempt to change the driver name from "the player" my computer locks
up. Same when I try to paint an opponents car. Otherwise sim works great. Any
known issues or system***up? I'm going to "attempt" to install an Xtasy GF
Ti200 this weekend. SpecsSony P4 1.7 512meg sdram TNT2 M64 etc..Win XP
home ed. Thanks in advance.

There seems to be a problem with d3d and that option.  Change your video
to opengl, then make the changes you need and finally go back to d3d.

When I was playing musical-video-display-driver-chairs, one of the
NVIDIA drivers I eventually tried produced this behavior.  I think
this is a known issue, check the README.

The only driver I have tried that seems to work for every application
I own is the driver that came on the CDROM that came with my GF3,
although these are a little 'slow' for NR2002 with full eye candy.

Good luck,
Gerald

If you have an Nvidia based card, check the readme for details.

Thanks Dave. That did the trick. Actually gave me better frame rates. Last time
I tried open GL they were reduced. Now with 32meg card 40-45 fps. Most eye
candy off though. Thanks again
