Hate to tell you this, but if you can't run consistent laps w/o hitting
anything, a new setup won't do you a bit off good. Try to run consistent
lasp, no matter how slow. The longer you do it the faster you'll get.
Once you get running a consistent speed, then you can start tweaking
your setup to find more spped. But you have to learn the track,
smoothly, first. Otherwise a better setup will just help you hit the
wall faster.:-)
BTW- I speak from experience. For along time I would run a couple laps,
hit the wall, and run to the garage to try to fix my setup. It never
worked.

Oh, and Loudon is tough. I'm trying to learn  it myself. I can lap
consistently, but I am slow.

Loudon is a track where it feels like you should be able to drive a lot
faster into the corner, but you can't. In the couple of races I've run on
Hawaii at Loudon, this seems to be where most of the drivers make their
mistakes, driving too deep in the corner. I turn in early and start braking
gently before the skid marks going into the corner, and then late apex the
corner so I can get back on the throttle coming off the corner.

NASCAR just announced that they will drop the North Wilksboro track
for 1997 season.  They also said they will race at the new Fort Worth
track.  What is Papyrus to do now??

The real question is what are the folks around North Wilksboro to
do now??  All for the mighty dollar, we loose another short track
to the giant million seating grandstanding super speedways.

Yeah, it's sad to see Wilkes go. I understand the economics, but it would
be nice if they replaced it with a short track, instead of another
superspeedway.
