I have been attempting to get any sort of enjoyment out of my new ICR2 game.
I had the origonal ICR and enjoyed it greatly.  I though that if I took it slow
and put in a lot of time and miles on the tracks I would be able to get good at
this sim.  I started at Loudon because that's where I started ICR.  Well, I
haven't left Loudon yet, because I haven't had a avg speed of over 173.XXX...

My fastest lap in ICR was 179.XXX.

ANYWAY, I enjoy ICR2, but I'm getting a little frustrated, I can't seem to
correct this understeering problem.  Here's my setup - I take the default FAST
setting and do this to it:

        RF      RR      LR      LF
Shocks: 100     45      40      80
PSI:    same as FAST
Camber: same as FAST, tire temps remain the same across tire
Type:   Hard    Med     Soft    Soft

Stagger:        +1.000
Front Wing:     18.00
Rear Wing:      12.60
F Sway Bar:     8 (I think)
R Sway Bar      3
Boost:          6
Fuel:           25

In other words, I'm TRYING to make it oversteer and I can't do it!!!!!

I guess I could lower the rear wing some more, but it jsut seems pointless, I
have the front wing as high as it can go.

Anyone have any ideas, or setups that they have to get me started?  I just need
a stable set up, I don't need a hotlap one.  I need to know WHAT THE HECK I'M
DOING WRONG....

                A little frustrated....

You have way to much RF shock. This transfering too much weight to the
wheel and causing it to slip. If you want oversteer, set the rear
shocks stiffer than the front. I don't own ICR2, just NASCAR, but the
theroy should be the same.

I can't promise anything, but the following is my set up for Loudon.
Try it out first with about 20-25 gals and play with it.  The steering
lock is set for my Formula T1 system.  I am able to do about 185 mph lap
times with this setting:

Fuel:            40  gallons            1st Gear: 11.90
Steering Lock:   9   degrees            2nd Gear:  9.10
Stagger:        +0.900  inches          3rd Gear:  7.70
                                        4th Gear:  6.40
Front Wing:     14.80                   5th Gear:  5.70
Rear Wing:       8.20                   6th Gear:  5.20

Boost Level:     0
Front Anti-Roll: 4
Rear Anti-Roll:  5
Brake Bias:      6

   TIRE         COMPOUND     PSI      CAMBER     SHOCK
 Right Front    Hard          35      -2.00       75%
 Right Rear     Medium        34      -1.30       70%
 Left Rear      Medium        37      +0.50       90%
 Left Front     Soft          41      -0.90       100%

Tis is my first post so if I get it wrong bare with me.  I took the
QUAL car and upped the front spoiler, that's all.  I'm hitting 182
with it.

            Hope it helps,

Are you forgetting that ICR2 model has 40% less downforce than the
ICR1 model?

A better test is how do your times compare to 100% strength opponents
in both versions?

Better yet, compare your ICR2 lap times with the "Internet hotshoes".
