Ha! Don't count on it. I had a Ford engine failure in free practice
at Imola yesterday :)

So, after driving around some tracks just to get a feel for the game I
thought it was time for my first 100% race. Started of with Suzuka in a
Ferrari at Amateur-level and qualified second after Hill.
I was on a two stop race and was able to pull away at the start of the race.
Since I didn't know whether Hill and the others were on a one stop race I
had to push hard all the time. Well, after my first pitstop I came out just
behind Hill (who was then leading) but after some corners I managed to get
through - it seemed my new tires were better than Hill's.
Then, when going in to the first corner I saw in my mirrors Hill spinning
out in the grabble. Checked the replay, and it was a driver error - guess
Hill can't deal with traffic i GP2 either :)!
With 8 laps remaining(after a spin) I was closing down on leader Coulthard
real quick. Then the engine started cutting strangely! I had an oil-leak! I
refused to enter the pits and drove on - after half a lap my engine expired
in flames and tons of smoke! I now know how Schumacher feels every other
weekend :).
Since I had saved the game at one point to recalibrate my joystick I loaded
this and expected to have a troublefree race - but no! On exactly the same
lap and track-position the oil-leak came again, it seems as these things are
determined at the start of the race and are saved when saving the game.
Which I guess is good since you can't cheat on yourself by saving all the time.
After that race my Ferrari has expired once more. Luckily for me, Bennetton
bought me so now I am driving with Ford power!
