Talladega lap time

Talladega lap time

My best NCR2 Talladega qualifying lap time is 49.397 and the only way to
get that is if I run a dangerously high line on the first green lap and
a low line on the white flag lap.  The low line is pretty loose, but if
I tighten it up anymore, I won't be able to stay high on lap 1.

This is at 70 degrees.

Hey Guys,
Is that with a full tank of fuel or
low fuel in testing?

Ed. Note:  195.106mph is 49.081 seconds.

        I've run a 48.858 which is 195.997mph.  I stay in the
middle of the corner and exit early, trying to get the steering
wheel straight as soon as possible.  When you come down off of
that banking it really throws you to the outside so you have to
be ready for it.  There's gotta be somebody faster than me out
there.  Let the one-upmanship begin!  BTW, no fair jacking the
weather to unrealistic values:  70 degrees and no wind equals
a level playing field.

I was kind of disappointed that they didn't change the
RPM that an engine turns at Talladega.  The restrictor plate
engines can't breathe at 9000 RPM, so they make their best
horsepower at about 7500.  The simulation doesn't take that
into account so the best way to make the car go is still to
wind up the engine and that's not realistic.  Maybe it was
too hard to change this for just one track.

i think the way they setup seting up the car in nascar2 will even it out
btween the rookie and the awsome drivers. cus now the best driver will
win Dega in the multi. not the best setup.

I have made some good setups for Nascar1 and multi.exe and I feel the
same as Joel here. Full tank, reduced setup options and one-lap
qualifying will even out the setups considerably.

A different matter is if everyone likes this state of affairs.
