GPL - are lap times behind a lap?

when you cross the start/finish line in GPL, is the lap time shown for the
lap just completed, or the previous lap?  is there any option to change the
way GPL displays lap times?

is it the same in every mode, e.g. training, single race, championship?

Yes they are!

This has been discussed in detail in a thread started by Glenn Andressen on
4th April, called "GPL: Why is the pit board a lap behind?".  The short
answer is "because that's the way it was in 1967".

There's a bit of a thread here about that, Bill....or was up to a couple of
days ago.
You can change it by editing some lines in each Track.ini file to move the
bloke with the board.
See if you can find the thread...I can't remember its exact Subject header,
sorry.
