Logitech Wheel problem (Win98)

by David Can » Wed, 30 Dec 1998 04:00:00

Why does Win98 say that my Joystick is not detected when the Logietech F
Force is installed?

The Joystick uses the Soundblaster port and the Wheel is USB?

I'd like to get around this so that the joystick can be used as a clutch.

Thanks for any help

Are you talking about when in game controllers when the status is listed as not
connected?

Yeah, I have the same problem, only I'm using W95 and the serial port
connection.  The only time mine read 'OK' was when I plugged in my MS joystick,
but it still didn't work because it was using the joystick as a control device
then.  I would suggest checking and make sure there aren't any ICQ or any type
of conflicts using device manager.  I've also seen a suggestion to move the
modem to COM3 or something.  I've already e-mail Logitech about this and am
waiting for a response.
