Problem with Logitech FF wheel

by zzzzzzzzz » Tue, 06 Aug 2002 10:02:43

I seem to have a problem with my Logitech wheel.  Every now and again
my car just downshifts.  This only happens when turning right.  But it
especially the case when driving through Lesmos.  I just blew an
engine coming out of Grand Curve at Monza because my Lotus downshifted
twice.  It never happens on a straightaway.

My current setup:
Duron 850
ABIT motherboard (not sure which one)
Gigabyte GeForce2 MX400 video card.
128 MB
Sound Blaster 64 PCI
Logitech Wingman Formule Force - the current version.

I have cleaned all connections with a vacuum to ensure there is no
type debris.  I have downloaded DirectX 8.1, video card drivers,
Logitech Wingman and installed all of them to no luck

 Any ideas?

just a guess, but it sounds like a pinched wire in your steering hub.
