I'll second that.  I'd love to run around in the "green eyed monster".  I
don't get to watch them now since Com***cable makes you go digital to get
Speed. Not to mention there internet is a joke. It has pretty much killed
online play for me, but thats another day.

So was I! No idea where those 15 years went. I've even looked down the
back of the fridge, but no sign of them anywhere.

> Congrats anyway.

Thanks Jan, though I'm not sure I did anything to deserve
congratulations. Mind you, I guess I *did* manage not to walk under a bus
in all these years... and I seem to have this 'remembering to breathe'
thing pretty much sorted out now ;o)

The idea sort of grows on you doesn't it. I've just spent several hours
messing about with hard disk backups in preparation for (hopefully) a
motherboard upgrade tomorrow. It's not been an easy ride, but all the way
through it I've been stewing over the idea of what could be possible with
the N2003 engine. ICR2 and a legendary flight sim called Tornado were
reviewed in the (1994?) magazine which persuaded me to buy my first PC.
Having already been inspired once this month by Half Life 2 I hardly dare
think how great a modern Papyrus Cart sim would be.

But it would be *wonderful* to have this to look forward to.

that is *very* cruel :o)

Which issue is this?  Is it the sim racing column?

I'd be willing to pick up a copy just to check.

Oh...shit! Now I actually have to think about upgrading my PC...
My interest in *** lost out to watching DVDs quite a bit (no,
it's not the age, just a reduced threshold enduring buggy software).

But for a CART sim? Yeah!

Yeah I remember Tornado...

I'm not really looking forward to HL2 because I thought the original HL was
a bit pants once you'd played it once. If it wasn't for CS I'd never even
touch it now. Deus Ex 2 is the one which has got me salivating.

I know, it hurts saying it, but the Wests have built up quite a
reputation...

Actually I'm quite a critic of the crappy GPL tyre model. More like Papy
fanboy alert... <G>

Maybe you left 'em on the mantelpiece and your wife threw 'em out?
That's what happened to mine!

They must have done something terrible to you for all that built up rage?
Did you kill your cat?  Did they poison your goldfish? Did they perhaps call
your mum some bad names? ;)

No, all they did was try to write a racing game - relax, you'll live on, as
will your household pets ;)

All the best,

Hold on Ladies, it is the sim column and Mr. Manhood says it makes sense for
Papy to develop a CART sim.  Nowhere does it say that they are working on
one at all.  The CART rights are with another company until 2004 and Mr.
Manhood summarizes that they would probably come cheap right now.  I too
hope they do, but I have heard nothing at all to lead me to believe they are
going to.

I thought Papy was getting out of the PC business all together to
write games for consoles.
