Cart comes to england and germany!!!!!!!!!

CART is planning to come to englands rockingham oval (2.23 mile 5 turn oval
est ave. 200mph cart) and an oval in Germany.  This can only be good news
for Havas (the French company that owns Sierra/Papyrus).  As soon as the
execs there hear about cart, surely a new sim from Papyrus will be on the
cards???

So CART is turning into a world series (nothing against you americans, but
you do seem to run world series against no other countries - baseball
(european view) etc.), world markets have got to be looked at, as the rest
of the world dont like nascar that much....

Gpl cart next year???

May god have forgiveness on your souls. Americans love ovals simply because it
helps them know where to look for the "Action". Also easier to eat a hot-dog
and drink a big gulp if cars only go L-R. Just like in baseball though, the
best talent *ISN'T* American. Of course, no matter who is in the lead, the US
commentary always focuses on some portly, balding, past his prime "American"
flailing madly way back in the pack... Andretti, Unser Jr.... thank god Rahall
finally retired!

The real question is why would Cart want to race in a 3rd World
country any way.

Last time I looked, while mathematically out of the championship, Andretti
HAS secured a top 5 finish, in fact a quick look at www.cart.com puts
Andretti 4th and only 14 points away from Tracy in 3rd.  5th place is Papis,
34 points behind Andretti.

Gee, yup..that is definetly past his prime, NOT.

Don't forget Japan.  And maybe in a few years Mexico too [although a road
race there, yay, since its on North America turf.].

Heh?!  Are you saying the US is a 3rd world country? :)  Last time I looked
neither is Canada or Japan or even your home of Australia.  In fact, the
only "3rd world" country CART races in is Brazil.

Not that I remember, no. CART has never run in Mexico. But I heard there are
plans to
have a CART race in Monterrey, which is the 3rd most important city of the
country
and where there is a lot of money from the industry. In fact, the sponsors
of the race
would be 2 big beer companies, one from Mexico and one from Canada, they
would
put the money to build the track.

Now, stopping the non sense and old cliche of USA vs the world, it's really
great news
that CART is going to Europe. It will be interesting to see who is more
successful:

F1 in USA, where people loves Nascar, or
CART in Europe where people love F1.
