N2 Voodoo 2 and frame rate

I have a Monster 3d II and a 400 mhz PII and am still getting some choppy
framerates with the 3dfx patch.  My Frame rates seemed to have been better with
the original Monster 3d.  Can anyone help me with settings for my .bat file or
any other tips to help my performance.  I have played with nearly every setting
and still cannot smooth things out.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
