Hi there

i replaced my Creative Labs TNT 1 with a Voodoo3 3000 today.

And WHAT a difference !!

With the TNT my fps in Monza (all graph.opt. on,19 cars) was 18-20 at the
start                             and 33-36 in the race.
Now: 26-29 start, otherwise 36,9-37 all around.
BTW: Nice mirrors :)

NASCAR3 runs also WAY better.

So, if anyone is in doubt what card to go with: Voodoo 3

Greetings
Mark

Or better still, a V3 2000 and *overclock* it to run at the same speed
as a 3000!!! (And you save money too!)

1024x768 is sufficient for a 17"monitor.
Not to mention it runs the same at 374 as it does at 450. A few people (inc AH)
still run the thriller for GPL..

Uh, you should mention that overclocking is not guaranteed, nor a right, and
that not everyone has the same luck when doing this.

I don't have a problem with people that overclock their systems.  I DO have
a problem with overclockers that only boast, and don't tell both sides of
the story.

No, the point is that *you* ar *not* getting those numbers with a
Thriller card at *that resolution*.

Me too, but at 800x600 max (same CPU).  ;)

nothing to be frightened of, and no limit, any fool could get into
a motor car and racing would not exist as a sport." -- Jim Clark
